In this new era of university-building and operational excellence, empowering middle managers with the essential tools, knowledge, and mindset has emerged as a critical imperative.
In a significant stride towards this goal, Middle Managers recently came together for a sustained focus on how to document, monitor and evaluate operational efficiencies and implement mechanisms for improvements. The Office of Institutional Strengthening and Accreditation facilitated the day-long workshop sessions that were held at the Choices Training Restaurant.
This retreat served as a pivotal platform for nurturing a culture of excellence and accountability among the university’s managers.
During the retreat, emphasis was placed on reinforcing timelines for the submission of key information essential for demonstrating the university’s accreditation compliance in crucial operational aspects. Middle managers engaged in various exercises to fortify their report writing skills, ensuring precision and clarity in documentation vital for accreditation processes.
With a renewed focus on excellence and alignment with best practices and standards, participants concluded the retreat with a heightened sense of purpose and preparedness. The retreat was not only important for skills-building but it also invigorated the managers’ commitment to steering UB towards continued success.
Through collaborative efforts and a shared commitment to excellence, UB is poised to achieve new milestones in academic distinction and operational efficacy.
